Accessibility statement
Accessibility of this website: the measures taken, known gaps and how to contact us.
Last updated: 22 October 2026
We want narravix.info to work for every visitor, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard or a magnifier. This statement explains what narravix has done, which gaps remain and how to report a barrier.
Our approach
We regard accessible pages as ordinary maintenance work at narravix rather than an additional feature. Every new page and every change to the design is checked to make sure the text remains readable, the navigation remains usable without a mouse and no information is carried by colour alone. The statement applies to narravix.info only.
What we do
Pages use semantic HTML: headings follow one order, lists are marked up as lists, and link texts stay meaningful out of context. Navigation and main content form separate regions, and the language of each page is declared for screen readers. Images that carry information have alternative texts, decorative ones are marked as such.
Text, links and buttons are shown with a contrast of at least 4.5 to 1 against their background. Sizes are set in relative units, so text can be enlarged in the browser without content being cut off, and links, menus and form fields can be used with the keyboard alone.
Conformance
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. The site is currently partially conformant: most content meets the guidelines, while the points listed below do not yet. Where a requirement cannot be met right away, we provide the information in another way.
Limitations we know of
Several illustrations are generic, and their alternative text names the subject without describing it in detail.
Reporting a barrier
Please report any accessibility problem by email to hello@narravix.info or by telephone on 01722 410386. A short note on the page, the difficulty and the device or assistive technology involved helps us reproduce the fault; we usually reply within five working days and explain what we will do about it.
Preparation and review
The present statement was prepared on 22 October 2026 on the basis of our own internal assessment. We inspected the principal page types with a keyboard, at an increased zoom setting and with a screen reader; no external audit was commissioned. The statement is reviewed once a year and after any substantial change to the website.
