FAQ
Answers to common questions about booking crews, how a production is planned, how quotations and payment work, and what we need from you.
Frequently asked questions
These are the questions producers and organisers ask us most often before a booking. If yours is not covered, send it through the contact page and we will reply.
What kinds of productions do you work on?
We work on multi-camera television and streaming productions, including concerts, studio panels, sport, festivals and corporate events. Our crews cut the show, direct the gallery, run replay and graphics, and manage streams. If your format is unusual, describe it in your enquiry and we will tell you honestly whether we are a good fit.
Can I book a single operator rather than a full crew?
Yes. Some clients need only a vision mixer or a replay operator to join their own gallery. Others want a full team led by a technical director. The quotation lists exactly which roles are included, so you can compare it with what your production really needs.
How do I book narravix?
Send an enquiry through the contact page with the show format, date, venue and roles you need. We reply with questions if anything is unclear, then send a written quotation. Nothing is booked through the website itself. Once you approve the quotation, we confirm the work in writing.
How is payment handled?
After the booking is confirmed in writing, we send an invoice. You pay it by bank transfer. We do not take card payments or online payments. The prices page explains what each service costs, what the price includes and what could change it.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Cancellations and refunds follow our payment and refund policy, which sets out what applies and when. Please tell us as early as you can if plans change, because crews are assigned to specific dates. You can read the full policy on its own page.
Do you bring equipment, or do we need to supply it?
It depends on the booking. Many clients have a gallery, switcher and cameras already, and our operators work on that equipment. Streaming work often involves encoding and delivery equipment as well. The quotation states what we provide and what we expect you to have in place.
Can you advise on our control room before we build or refit it?
Yes. We review your room layout, signal flow and monitoring, and provide a written plan for a more efficient working space. It is advice rather than installation, so you can take it to your own engineers or suppliers and decide what to act on.
Do you run training for new operators?
We run hands-on workshops covering live switching, comms discipline and fault handling, using real production equipment. They suit new operators and teams who want a common way of working. Tell us who would attend and what they already know, and we will describe what a session would cover.
