What producers and organisers say about working with us

narravix

Comments from people who have booked narravix crews for live shows and streams, describing how the work felt from the first conversation to the final cut.

In their words

Experiences from recent bookings

These notes come from producers and event staff who worked with our operators. They describe what mattered to them on the day, in their own words.

We booked a vision mixer for a two-hour studio panel. He read the running order beforehand, asked sensible questions about camera positions and kept the cuts tidy even when a guest moved unexpectedly. The director stayed relaxed throughout, which is not always the case.

Fiona AldridgeProducer, studio panel programme

Our festival stream had several stages and a patchy venue network. Priya set up backup paths before the doors opened, and when one connection dipped the audience hardly noticed. The written plan she sent beforehand made the day far easier for our own staff.

Martin ColleyEvent organiser, outdoor music festival

Dan ran replay and graphics for our sports evening and kept the cue sheet in order for everyone in the gallery. Lower thirds arrived when we expected them, and the replays were ready as soon as the director asked for them.

Rachel TennantGallery director, sports broadcast

We asked narravix to review our control room before a refit. The written plan was clear about signal flow and monitor positions, and it gave our engineers something concrete to work from. We could discuss each recommendation with them directly.

What these comments tell a new client

Clients mention a small number of things again and again. They are the same things we try to get right on every booking, and they are a fair guide to what you can expect from a narravix crew.

Preparation shows

Several comments mention work done before the day: reading the running order, preparing cue sheets, setting up backup feeds. That preparation is where most of a calm transmission is won. It is also why we ask for the script, camera plan and equipment list early, so operators arrive knowing the show rather than learning it during rehearsal.

Communication in the gallery

Directors tend to describe the atmosphere as much as the picture. A gallery where calls are short, faults are named quickly and nobody talks over the director feels steadier to everyone in it. We treat talkback discipline as part of the job and teach it in our workshops as well.

Written plans help

Clients value having things on paper, whether that is the quotation, a technical plan for a stream or the report from a control room review. It lets their own staff check details, raise questions in advance and agree on who does what before anyone is live.
