Services
The live production work narravix takes on, from switching and direction to streaming, replay, control room advice and training.
Six areas of live production work, run by working operators
narravix supplies crews and advice for television and streaming productions. Vision mixers cut the show, technical directors lead the gallery, streaming staff keep the audience connected, and operators handle replay and graphics. We also review control rooms and train new operators.

Multi-camera switching
Experienced vision mixers cut live multi-camera shows, from concerts to studio panels, following the director's script and cues.
Live broadcast direction
Technical directors lead the gallery team and keep cameras, graphics and audio cues in step from rehearsal to transmission.
Streaming production operations
We run live streams for events and festivals, handling encoding, platform feeds and backup paths so the audience stays connected.
Replay and graphics operation
Operators run instant replays, lower thirds and on-screen graphics, keeping each element timed to the programme.
Control room design and fit-out advice
We review your control room layout, signal flow and monitoring, and give a written plan for a more efficient working space.
Crew training and workshops
Hands-on sessions teach operators live switching, comms discipline and fault handling on real production equipment.
Tell us the format, the venue and the cameras you plan to use, and we will talk through which of these areas fit before anything is written down.

Script and cue preparation
The vision mixer reads the running order and camera plan ahead of the day, marks the key moments, and agrees with the director how shots will be called during the show.
Switcher setup and checks
Before rehearsal the operator checks sources, labels and transitions on the switcher, so each camera and graphics feed sits where the director expects it.
Rehearsal with the director
A run-through lets the director and mixer settle timing for cuts, mixes and wides, and flag any shot that needs to be reframed before transmission.
Live cutting to transmission
During the show the mixer follows the director's calls and cues, keeps a calm talkback line, and responds quickly if a camera drops or a plan changes.
From first enquiry to a calm transmission
Every booking follows the same sequence, whether it is one operator for a panel show or a full gallery crew for a festival stream. Each step ends with something written down, so everyone knows what has been agreed before the cameras are live.
Enquiry and brief

Planning and technical recce
The assigned operators review your running order, camera plan and equipment list. For larger shows we speak with your engineers about signal flow, comms and backup paths.

Rehearsal and live delivery
The crew arrives, checks the gallery, rehearses with the director and then runs the show live, keeping graphics, replay and cameras in step with the programme.
What you leave withA completed transmission with the crew on hand throughout.
